Zonda Tec Ghana Limited has introduced the highly anticipated Tank 300 and POER pickup models, providing a huge boost to Ghana’s automotive industry. This follows the company’s acquisition of exclusive rights to assemble and market Great Wall Motor (GWM) cars. The vehicles were launched yesterday at the Kotoka International Airport, heralding a new age of indigenous production and economic prosperity in accordance with Ghana’s industrialization strategy.
Addressing the audience, Deputy Minister for Trade, Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi, stated that these two extraordinary vehicles represent not only innovation and engineering brilliance, but also the spirit of adventure and growth.
Our Deputy CEO, Yaw Afriyie, praised Zonda Tec’s significant step, emphasizing how it aligns with the Ghana Automotive Development Policy, which provides the necessary framework for the establishment of the country’s automotive sector. He also highlighted how the production of these vehicles contributes to expanding Ghana’s manufacturing capabilities and positioning the country as a hub for automotive excellence. Additionally, Mr. Afriyie underscored the Centre’s unwavering support and availability to provide liaison services through our Aftercare Division.
In her address, CEO of Zonda Tec, Ms Yang Yang, emphasized Zonda Tec’s commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, with the Tank 300 and POER pickup models being testament to this commitment. By assembling these vehicles locally, Zonda Tec aims to provide superior products while fostering technology transfer and the development of local expertise and capabilities.
