Zabarma Chief and Songhai Empire Meet in Accra

A meeting was held between the Zabarma chief of Graeter Accra and the paramount chief of the Songhai Empire Sarki Amadu Fatahi Alhassan. The two traditional leaders aim to cement the tie between their respective communities through mutual understanding and collective effort.

Both communities can trace their roots in Niger and Mali respectively. The meeting was primarily aimed at discussing pressing issues hindering the development of the enclave and share ideas on the best way to tackle issues such as education, youth unemployment as well as capacity building.

Both leaders expressed their gratitude to Alhaji Habibu Dramani, a businessman, Peace Ambassador and an opinion leader within the Zabarma and Songai Communities in Ghana. They reiterated that Alhaji Habibu Dramani is a father who loves peace and the development of Niger and Mali as well as the Muslim communities in Ghana.

The Greater Accra Zabarma Chief stated that the Zabarma community and Songhai Empire share the same roots; hence the need to work together and outline measures that will elevate the two communities in West Africa and beyond. Adding that as a Chief of Zabarma Communities in the Greater Accra Region, he would work tirelessly to ensure the unity of the two tribes.

He finally expressed his sincere gratitude to the government of the Republic of Ghana for its effort to protect all tribes in the country and making Ghana a safe and peaceful place.
