Your discipline style will lead to a great society – Ras Mubarak praises roads Minister

Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumbungu,  Ras Mubarak has expressed profound admiration for Roads Minister,  Kwasi Amoako-Attah for ordering the demolition of a barricade erected on a road and the arrest of the contractor responsible after he had launched into a tirade against their actions, which he described as madness.

“Hon. Kwesi Amoako Atta has made my day. Ghanaians and foreigners alike must obey our laws. Unless we instill discipline, we would never become a great society,” Mr Mubarak wrote on social media.

The Roads Minister warmed the hearts of many Ghanaians when he stormed the construction site of the 22-storey building, located at the Airport Residential Area Wednesday and gave the contractor and his workers a thorough dressing down; ordered their immediate arrest; and supervised the demolition a concrete barricade the contractor had erected on a road.

Residents had been up in arms with the developers for blocking the road and causing other forms of inconvenience in the area. But their concerns had yielded no results until the Roads Minister intervened and with dispatch dealt decisively with the problem.

While the majority of Ghanaians supported the move of the minister heaping praises on him and criticising inactive ministers and other government officials, a tiny minority of Ghanaians condemned his actions pointing out his public show of hostility as unbefitting of a minister.
