Mohammed VI Foundation Donates Ramadan Items To Ashiaman Flood-Prone Residents

Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema – Ghana Branch have presented foodstuff to a flood-prone area in Ashiaman to support them during Ramadan. The donation forms part of the foundation’s annual Ramadan package for the less privileged in society and people living with a disability.

A member of the Foundation – Ghana Branch Dr. Nasiba Tahir led a team to donate the package of items which include bags of rice, cornflour, beans, Teabags, spaghetti cartons of milk, tin tomatoes as well as cooking oil.

According to her, the foundation has identified the area as flood-prone: thus, the need to visit the residents and share with them some items from the foundation.

According to her, the Ghana Branch of the foundation has so far distributed over thousand items to various Muslim Communities and distribution is still ongoing ensuring that King Mohammed VI puts a smile on the faces of the vulnerable in the society.

She added that despite the global economic challenges, the foundation has ensured that it remains consistent and even step-up its distribution to support the needy more than it provided over the years. The foundation has diversified its approach by focusing not only on disabled people but also on patients at the Nima Polyclinic.

Dr. Nasiba Tahir appealed to women in the area to send their daughters to school and not to engage them in petty trading. The residents expressed their profound gratitude to the Foundation for their kind gesture and prayed for Allah’s blessings, long life and prosperity for King Mohammed VI and the members of the foundation.
