The 20 cabinet nominees whose names were submitted to the Kano State House of Assembly on Monday would take their oath of office on Tuesday–a day after their nomination by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Kano Focus reports that soon after the submission of the list, Speaker Abdulaziz Garba Gafasa, said the screening of the commissioners-designate would begin on Tuesday.
Mr. Ganduje had been criticized by many political actors for not forming a cabinet six months after he was inaugurated for a second term.
However, a statement issued by Abba Anwar, Chief Press Secretary to Mr. Ganduje said the swearing-in will take place the same Tuesday at Sani Abacha Indoor Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano, around 4 pm.
The statement advised members of the public and well-wishers of all the commissioners-designate to be orderly during the event.
The speaker of the assembly Abdulazeez Gafasa read the name to the house at a plenary session on Monday.
