Exclusive Video: Sheikh I.C Quaye Composes A Song For Nana Addo

Barely ten days to the 2020 general election, the Hajj Board Chairman Shaikh I.C Quaye has composed a song for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo ahead of the election. Sheikh I.C Quaye unveiled the song at Ghana Muslim Excellence Awards 2020 organized by Muslim Groups Ghana, yesterday at the police cantonment Central Mosque in Accra.

In 2012 the New Patriotic Party NPP came up with several phrases but the most popular was the one credited to Sheikh I.C. Quaye. His ‘Am3baa Power Nm3n3 Am3baa power Wor … Agbenaa’ (Ga word for They will not come to power today, they will not come to power tomorrow… finished) phrase was spot on. However, none of the phrases composed by NPP was as sensational and seductive as “Agbenaa.” It resonated with members of the NPP. They relegated the rest of their campaign themes to the background and kept I.C. Quaye’s “Agbenaa.” as the main dish on the political menu.

He also came up with the “Naa Nana, Naa Shuor” phrase; meaning “see Nana, see the elephant”. It was also spot on and he became the centre of attraction at party rallies.
