Courtesy Call On Bawumia by Chief Imam of Mamprusi West

The Municipal Chief Imam For West Mamprusi-Walewale (Imam Alhaj Ramadan Abdulai) led a team of CMYA executives to Accra to pay a courtesy call on the Vice President Of The Republic Of Ghana (Alhaj Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia). Chief Alhaj Chackson (Mamprusi Chief In Accra) led the delegation to Veep’s residence where the meeting took place. The leader of the delegation divulges the purpose of the presence and clearly described the visit as a “Follow Up” after veep’s return from his trip to Walewale where he graced this year’s Mamprugu Annual Islamic Gathering. He emphasised on the need for Mamprugu Islamic Council (MIC) to send a delegation to the nation’s capital for collective prayers with the Vice President against the troublesome Covid-19 Pandemic.

Corona has brought unprecedented adjustments to our way of lives in the last couple of months. Thus, the need for the nation irrespective of religious belief to seek God’s intervention in mitigating the spread of the pandemic. Having said that, it is equally imperative for Ghanaians to adhere to social distancing protocols and other preventive measures by authorities to fight this deadly virus. The Chief Imam also expressed his gratitude to the Vice President for his respect and benevolent works in Mamprugu and Ghana at large. He thanked Allah S.W.T. for giving Mamprugu such a blessing and described Bawumia as an “International Asset” and “A Comforter to Humanity”. Mr. Bawumia expressed his gratitude and willingness to empower the youth in the Country at Large.
