Bayt African Charity, an Islamic non Governmental Organization NGO in Ghana and DirectAid Ghana have donated food items to some Muslim at Ahodwo in Nsawam in the Eastern Region.
The items which includes Rice, Sugar, Oil, Spaghetti, tomato paste among other items was to support Muslims within the Ahodwo community during the Ramadan.
Bayt Africa is known in the community for facilitating social interventions programs and projects such as building of mosques, mechanize boreholes, providing free health screening, orientation among others in the country through the support of DirectAid Ghana
Its existence in Ghana has positively impacted on the lives of many Muslims and non-Muslims through the provision of education, health and empowerment of the youth, women and the aged.
Speaking on the sidelines of the annual Ramadan donation at the premises of Bayt Africa Headquarters, Sheikh Ismai’la Zakaria revealed that DirectAid Ghana has over the years supported Muslims in Ahodwo with food items to help reduce spending burden on Muslims in the month of Ramadan.
The donation he said will go a long way to support the beneficiaries to break their fast and put a smile on their faces.
On his part, Sheikh Zakaria Ali Abdul-Karim, the Director of Bayt African Charity reiterated that their partnership with DirectAid Ghana has been a blessing to the people on Nsawam Ahodwo as the community has benefited from numerous opportunities through their partnership.
According to him, this year’s Ramadan package was limited due to the war in Palestine and other countries as donations and distribution of items have been channeled to the affected countries to support them.
He revealed that over the years, about 500 Muslims and non Muslims benefited from the donation and prayed that all conflicts across the world would end.
He also prayed for Allah’s blessings and guidance to all staffs of DirectAid Ghana especially the country Director, Mr. Sammi
Beneficiaries
The beneficiaries expressed their profound gratitude to DirectAid and Bayt African Charity – Ghana for their kind gesture.
They added that the donation will go a very long way to see them through the month of Ramadan.
According to the beneficiaries, the people of Nsawam in the Eastern Region have benefited from numerous projects such construction of Mosques, boreholes, Arabic Schools and empowerment of women and the youth.
They commended DirectAid Ghana for making the welfare of the people of Nsawam a priority.
