The Gomoa East Council of Zongo Chiefs under the leadership of Alhaji Sarki Abdullah Awudu Issaka GiwaI I, and the Omanhene Dr Obeng Wiabo of Nyanyano, have enstooled a new chief.

The newly enstooled chief, Chief Alhaji Hussein Ali of ESTATES. ECOWAS, SAFARI, called for unity and cooperation among his people towards the accelerated development of their area. He noted that no meaningful development could take place in an area plagued with conflicts and petty divisions.

Chief Alhaji Hussein I, made this call when he swore his oath of allegiance to traditional authorities at a ceremony to outdoor him as the new Millennium ZONGO chief. Known in private life as a vice chairman at Agbogloshie Onion Market, Haulage, And Cattle Farming he succeeded this kingship through humbleness and respect.

Chief Alhaji Hussein promised to cooperate with chiefs and people to facilitate the execution of development programmes. He encourages the youth to pursue education and resist the quest for fraudulent and quick wealth.

The newly enstooled chief urged traditional leaders to contribute their quota towards the development of the country especially in the areas they rule.

Alhaji Husseini believes in the involvement of traditional leaders have in nation-building; hence, the need to support the government’s efforts of nation-building.
