Chief Sofo Awudu Azorka, a First National Vice Chairman of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has declared that former President Mahama will return to the Presidency just like the Christians belief that Jesus Christ will return to the world, MyNewsGh.com reports.
He argued that former President Mahama will win back the Presidency in order to finish the unfinished work he had begun as President just as the Christian belief that Jesus Christ will come to complete the works he had begun.
Speaking to journalist after the launch of the NDC’s manifesto committee late last week covered by MyeNwsGh.com, the former Northern Regional Chairman of the NDCstressed that if the belief in Jesus’s second coming is valid, then John Mahama will definitely be back as the President of Ghana.
“You Christians you say Jesus will come back. Or? Jesus will come back: John Mahama will also come back. If so far as Jesus is coming back, John Mahama also will come back. Jesus will come back because he didn’t finish his work in the World. Do you understand? Now, John Mahama is coming to work the rest of the work he left,” he confidently declared.
John Mahama was elected President in December 2012 after serving as President from July to December upon the demise of President Attack Mills.
However, he lost to the current President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the 2016 general elections.
But he is staging a comeback in the 2020 general elections and is promising to give the current President a run for his money.
